Ethically-Made Clothing

Encircled clothing is locally made within 60km of our studio in Toronto, Canada at garment factories we vet for standards against our Ethical Code of Conduct checklist.

Local production in Canada means fair wages, safe working conditions, regulated time off, provincially funded health care, and the right to unionize. Workers are protected by the Province of Ontario Employee Standards Act. We visit factories regularly, often weekly if not more frequently.

We prioritize working with local production on every component from labels, to zippers, to fabric due to the higher quality and standard of life offered to those who make the products locally in Canada.

Environmentally-Conscious

Low-impact dyes that are free of harmful chemicals, and tested to be safe for your skin and safe for the workers harvesting, knitting, and dying the fabric.

A large portion of our fabric (approx. 50%) is knit and dyed locally in Ontario, reducing our carbon footprint significantly.

Every fabric contains naturally-derived fibers that meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability. Read more on the Fabric below for each style.

Where noted, our fabrics are certified yarns, which means that they're sustainably sourced in a way that honors the planet in the process.

About Encircled

Encircled's founder Kristi started Encircled in her kitchen with a sewing machine she bought on Craig's List! Now they've grown into a full-fledged brand making really comfortable, super versatile, and high-quality basics that cut down on garment waste and dress women in clothes they’ll love. If you’re looking to simplify your closet or curate a capsule wardrobe, do yourself a favor and browse their collection—all ethically-made in Toronto with eco-friendly fabrics and upcycled materials.

Encircled's Return Policy

Encircled offers a full refund or exchange on new, unworn merchandise provided that the return is initiated within 30 days of receipt of the product. A return label fee of $15 will be applied to the refund. All items must be unwashed and unworn with the original hangtags attached.
Encircled aims to process returns within 21 business days of receiving your returned items. However during busy periods this may take longer. Returned packages are first sent to their warehouse in New York, where they will then continue on to our Encircled HQ offices in Toronto - this process of bringing the packages across the border takes around 3 weeks.
As Encircled is a small batch fashion company, cycling their inventory is crucial, any returns sent beyond 30 days of the original purchase date will be store credit only.
